Investing more and better in updating and improving the quality of universities is in fact a direct investment in the future of citizens and countries. The main purpose of this research study is to explore the role and relationship of intellectual capital and its three components on the performance and efficient working of universities in Pakistan. Education sector especially universities were selected because it plays a critical role for the development and growth of knowledge intensive sector. So in this research study 3 components of intellectual capital such as human capital, structural capital and relational capital were taken as independent variables and institution‟s performance is taken as dependent variable. In this research study a structured questionnaire is adopted from the past research studies and 800 responses have been collected from various public and private university students in Pakistan. Reliability analysis is conducted to check the reliability of constructs and Pearson‟s correlation is applied to explore the relationship of three components of IC on institution performance. Results indicate that all the three components show a significant relationship with performance but among the three components, the relation of human capital is more prominent. سرمایه فکری مفهومی است که توجه محققان را روز به روز به خود جلب می‎کند. سرمایه گذاری بیشتر و بهتر در به روز ساختن و بهبود کیفیت دانشگاه ها در واقع سرمایه گذاری مستقیم در آینده شهروندان و کشورهاست. هدف اصلی این تحقیق، مشخص کردن نقش و رابطه‎ی سرمایه فکری و سه مولفه‎ی آن بر عملکرد و کارایی دانشگاه‎ها در کشور می‎باشد. بخش آموزش کشور، به‎خصوص دانشگاه‎ها انتخاب شدند؛ چرا که نقش حیاتی و مهمی را در توسعه و رشد بدنه‎ی دانش دارد. بنابراین در این تحقیق، سه مولفه سرمایه فکری از قبیل سرمایه انسانی، سرمایه ساختاری و سرمایه رابطه‎ای به عنوان متغیر مستقل و عملکرد موسسه به عنوان متغیر وابسته در نظر گرفته شدند. در این تحقیق یک پرسشنامه ساختار یافته از مطالعات گذشته اتخاذ شده و 800 پاسخ از دانشگاه‎های مختلف خصوصی و عمومی درکشور جمع ‎آوری شد. تحلیل پایایی برای آزمون پایایی ساختار به عمل آمد و ضریب همبستگی پیرسون برای معلوم کردن ارتباط سه مولفه از سرمایه فکری بر عملکرد دانشگاه ها به کار گرفته شد. نتایج تحقیق نشانگر این است که هر سه مولفه رابطه‎ی قابل توجهی با عملکرد دارند اما در خلال این سه مولفه، رابطه‎ی سرمایه انسانی بیشتر آشکار است. /downloadfilepdf/1442595
